We’re excited to bring both Community Energy Birmingham’s hands‑on DIY Home Energy Solutions and Seeing in Colour workshops to The Old Print Works, a creative and community‑driven space right in the heart of Balsall Heath. This workshop is designed to help residents understand their homes better and learn simple, low‑cost ways to reduce heat loss, improve comfort and cut energy bills.

What You’ll Learn

This is a practical, drop‑in style workshop where you can learn by doing. Our team will guide you through a series of hands‑on stations where you can try out real materials and techniques used in home energy improvements.

You’ll get to practise:

• Installing radiator reflectors

• Applying draught‑proofing around doors and windows

• Using air quality monitors

• Fitting pipe insulation

• Understanding window insulation options

• Learning how small, reversible measures can make a big difference

Our aim is to make energy efficiency accessible, empowering and achievable for everyone.
