Join us at MECC Trust for our 'Seeing in Colour' Thermal Imaging Workshop.
We’ll explore how heat moves through your home and why thermal cameras are such a powerful tool for spotting hidden issues.

You’ll get hands‑on experience using a thermal camera to identify heat loss, draughts and damp, followed by practical guidance on what the likely causes are and how to fix them.

After the session, you can register to borrow a camera to check your own home.

Join us at the Energy Centre in Tyseley Energy Park for our 'Seeing in Colour' Workshop, which outlines why looking at your home through a thermal camera is helpful.

Then we have a look at thermal imaging to diagnose the likely issue and remedy.

After this, register to borrow a camera.

 

Come and check the learning/practice stands we have prepared for you. This is a DIY Home Energy Solutions Workshop. 

The intention is to share skills on how to install simple energy efficiency improvements in your home. 

There is no fee, this workshop was generously funded by the Central Co-op.

You will find us in the Almera Room at York Supplies on the last Saturday of every month. There is no start/stop time; the space is open for demonstrations and learning from 10am to 4pm. 

We’re excited to bring Community Energy Birmingham’s hands‑on DIY Home Energy Solutions and Seeing in Colour workshop to The Old Print Works, a creative and community‑driven space right in the heart of Balsall Heath.

This workshop is designed to help residents understand their homes better and learn simple, low‑cost ways to reduce heat loss, improve comfort and cut energy bills.

Second Saturday of every month. There is no start/stop time; the space is open for demonstrations and learning from 11am to 4pm. 

Seeing in Colour is CEB’s hands‑on thermal imaging workshop that helps residents understand how heat moves through their homes, where cold spots and damp issues appear, and what simple, low‑cost actions can improve comfort and reduce energy use. Using thermal cameras and real examples from local buildings, the session makes invisible problems visible in a clear, accessible way.

These workshops at Civic Square are open to all local residents and require no technical background — just curiosity and a willingness to explore how our homes really behave.
